Your choices define your magic in this HD 2D Open World Role Playing Game!!

You and your sibling (Aria or Arin) are the children of a Knight; a provincial governor that utilizes the relationship-focused magic art called Rein. When a catastrophe leaves your mother incapacitated, her successor relies on you and your Rein-using friends to help him keep people safe!

This is only one course of action of course. Despite its looks and heavy focus on story, Knights of Eyres is a fully choice-based Role Playing Game. The choices you make in dialogue and during the story not only change the outcome of events, but define what kind of spells you are able to learn as you develop your magic skills!

The role-playing gameplay itself is heavily focused on the relationships that you form with the many characters that populate Eyres. The world these people inhabit is as dark and nihilistic as it is chaotic and fun. The deepest aspects of morality, humanity, and trust are explored and tested as you and your friends embrace this horrifying tale of vengeance, love, and redemption together.

(Uh, please be warned… despite the graphics this game has a really dark tone. Like this ain't Final Fantasy or Chrono Trigger this is Berserk or the Witcher. Please be prepared for some heavy stuff.)

Features:

  • Game is planned to be totally free lol
  • 10 fantasy races to choose from, extensive character customization (25% done)
  • Active Time Battle System, reminiscent of Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy (85% done)
  • Relationship based gameplay reminiscent of Persona (Not started)
  • Open World allowing you to explore the land of Eyres with mostly no limits (I've got the first village done man, gimme a bit.)
  • Role-playing based skill system/Rein Magic system (70% done, a lot of it you can't see but it's there I swear I promise stop yelling at me lmao)
  • Long-form story with continuous content updates (uh%)
  • Multiplayer (givememoney% it's totally possible honestly and I've already thought out a scenario where I'd do it, but it's a lot of work)

Current Goal: Get Chapter 1 Done

Current Process: Outlining Chapter 1: 99% done

Next Process: Implement first 'Tale' of Chapter 1 (I'd already written it before I started outlining lmao)
